Features of fipronil

Fipronil has the advantages of broad spectrum and high efficiency. Fipronil mainly induces Cl-flow by blocking the nerve membrane Cl- channel controlled by the γ-aminobutyric acid receptor, causing extreme excitement of the nervous system and resulting in the death of insects, achieving the control effect on various economic pests.

Applications of fipronil

Fluorine-containing pyrazole broad-spectrum insecticides have high activity and a wide range of applications. They also show high sensitivity to pests such as Hemiptera, Thysanoptera, Coleoptera, and Lepidoptera, as well as pests that have developed resistance to pyrethroid and carbamate insecticides. It can be used in rice, cotton, vegetables, soybeans, rapeseed, tobacco leaves, potatoes, tea, sorghum, corn, fruit trees, forests, public health, animal husbandry, etc., to control rice borers, brown planthoppers, rice weevils, cotton bollworms, armyworms, diamondback moths, cabbage worms, cabbage armyworms, beetles, root-cutting worms, bulb nematodes, caterpillars, fruit tree mosquitoes, wheat long tube aphids, coccidia, trichomonas, etc. The recommended dosage is 12.5~150g/hm2. Our country has approved field efficacy tests on rice and vegetables. The formulation is 5% suspension and 0.3% granule.

It is mainly used in crops such as rice, sugar cane, and potatoes. In animal health care, it is mainly used to kill parasites such as fleas and lice on cats and dogs.

How to use fipronil

1. Prevention and control of moth pests: 5% fipronil can be used at 20-30 ml per mu, diluted with water and sprayed evenly on vegetables or crops. For large trees and densely planted plants, it can be increased appropriately.

2. Prevention and control of rice pests: 5% fipronil can be used to spray evenly with 30-60 ml of water per mu to prevent and control rice borer, rice borer, locust, rice planthopper, rice weevil, thrips, etc.

3. Soil treatment: Fipronil can be used for soil treatment to prevent and control underground pests.
