Flunicamid is a pyridinamide (or nicotinamide) insecticide, which can effectively control piercing-sucking mouthparts pests on a wide range of crops, especially for aphids. Its mechanism of action is novel, and it has no cross-resistance with other insecticides currently on the market, and has low toxicity to bees.

The pure product of flonicamid is light yellow solid crystalline powder with a melting point of 157.5°C. Solubility (20°C): 5.2 g/L in water, 157.1 g/L in acetone, and 89.0 g/L in methanol. It is heat stable.

Features of Flunicamid

Flunicamid has high activity at low dose, strong systemic conductivity, resistance to rain erosion, long-lasting effect (experimental data shows that it is still active after 28 days of application), high safety to natural enemies and beneficial organisms, and very friendly to the environment. Flunicamid can be used in fruit trees, grains, potatoes, rice, cotton, vegetables, tea trees, tomatoes and ornamental plants in greenhouses to control piercing-sucking mouthpart pests, such as cotton aphids, green peach aphids, thrips, whitefly, etc.
